Say the word cachaca and your mind probably goes to caipirinhas. The national drink of Brasil is traditionally made with lime and sometimes mint mirroring a mojito, but they can be made with any fresh fruit (we recommend passion fruit if you can get it and strawberries if you can’t). To make these drinks light and fruit-forward they are typically paired with a silver or unaged cachaca which is why we picked up Leblon.
This cachaca is very light almost with no taste except for a woody aftertaste on the back of the tongue (think of chewing on a popsicle stick) when drunk neat or on the rocks, but when using this in a mixed drink it takes a back seat allowing the ingredients to really shine.
Stay in good spirits!
